General Behavior Consulting
What can V help with?
General Behavior Consulting is exactly what it sounds like! Behavior help for dogs of any age, breed, ability, health status, training history (or lack thereof), traumas, etc. From basic skills like sit and come to extreme and disruptive behaviors such as anxiety, fear, or aggression - V can help you set realistic goals for your dog and achieve them.
Examples of specific behaviors General Behavior Consulting can help with include (but are not limited to): compulsive behaviors (light chasing, spinning, etc.), generalized anxiety (fear of “everything”), resource guarding (food/toy aggression), inappropriate urination (peeing when greeting people, scared, etc.), travel fear/anxiety, and much more!
V also has experience with dogs who have a variety of physical limitations such as dogs with neurological disorders, missing limbs, deafness, blindness, and dogs who are both deaf and blind.
How does General Behavior Consulting work?
During your Initial Consultation, you will meet with V to discuss your dog’s behavior, your goals, your dog’s routines, environment, and health status, and V will help you come up with a plan to tackle the challenges you all are facing.
Consultations take place over video-calls. This allows V to see your dog in their natural state during the consultation and assessments of their behavior, and allows you to get started with foundation skill training without extra distractions. This sets you and your dog up for success right away!
At the end of the Initial Consultation, you will have a plan to move forward that will be clear, realistic, and move you towards your goals with your dog. What this looks like largely depends on the nature of your dog’s behavior. Once the Initial Consultation is completed, you can choose to continue with Follow Up Consultations at whatever pace is most appropriate, or implement the plan on your own.
